Adopted in February 2003 by the European Union, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) governs the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Commonly referred to as the "lead-free directive," RoHS restricts the use of the following ten substances:

  • Lead
  • Cadmium
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)
  • Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
  • Mercury
  • Hexavalent Chromium
  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
  • Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)

Based on the information received from our suppliers to date, and to the best of Meridian Cable's knowledge, we confirm that our products are in compliance with the material restrictions outlined in ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU, including its amendments and annexes, such as Directive (EU) 2015/863, which addresses the restrictions on certain phthalates.

We remain committed to continuously monitoring our supply chain and updating our practices to align with evolving regulations and industry standards. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our products while minimizing environmental impact.
